I've had a Frida Khalo Moment pretty much my entire life. I've spent a lot of time studying the subject I know best-- myself. A self portrait ( in any medium) is meant to be a tool to reach clarity of one's self. Photographing has been a gift to me in which it allows me to see my own truths. My negatives or the back of my DLSR has forever provided me with what the world really looks like, what I really look like, without being convoluted by my own judgements or the influence of the external world-- two very intense hurdles on the path to practicing self love.
